Author Guidelines

I. Articles on the results of research carried out in scientific institutions must have permission for publication (a cover letter from the administration or directorate of the relevant institute or an abstract from the minutes of the meeting of the academic council, department, as well as an examination report).

II. The article is submitted to the editorial office in two copies in Belarusian, Russian or English; font - Times New Roman, size - 11; line spacing - 1.5. Handwritten inserts and inserts are not allowed in the text. The article must be signed by all authors. We welcome publication of articles in English both by Belarusian authors and from other countries, as well as in co-authorship with representatives of foreign scientific centers.

III. The article must have the following structure:

  • Index according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC);
  • initials and surnames of authors;
  • the full name of the institutions where the authors work, indicating the city and country;
  • article title.

Abstract (author's summary) of 150–250 words should briefly present the results of the work and be understandable, including in isolation from the main text of the article; should be informative, well-structured (one of the options for writing an abstract is a brief repetition of the structure of the article, including an introduction, goals and objectives, methods, results, conclusions).

Key words - a set of words that reflect the content of the text in terms of the object, scientific field and research methods; the recommended number of keywords is 5-10.

Then the metatext data (everything that precedes the main text of the article) is given in English, and the abstract must be original (i.e. not be a literal translation of the Russian (Belarusian) abstract). If the article is in English, the above data is given in Russian (Belarusian).

 The main text of the article should be 10–16 pp. (i.e. 40 thousand characters); this volume also includes tables and figures, the total number of which should not exceed 10. The material presented must be clearly structured: introduction, goals and objectives, methods, results, conclusions. In the introduction, it is recommended to provide a detailed or brief overview of the latest world achievements on the stated topic, published in publications indexed in international databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, with links to them in the list of sources used, and also indicate the originality of the study.

In Russian- and Belarusian-language articles, captions should be made in two languages ​​- Russian (Belarusian) and English, it is recommended to translate the inscriptions on the illustrations themselves.

The list of used sources in Russian (Belarusian) is drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus (GOST 7.1-2003). The cited literature is given in a general list as it is mentioned, references in the text are given by a serial number in square brackets (eg, [1]); references to unpublished works are not allowed).

Then there is a list of cited sources in the Roman alphabet ("References") with the following structure: authors (transliteration), title of the article in transliteration [translation of the title of the article into English in square brackets], title of the Russian-language source (transliteration) [translation of the title of the source into English], imprint with English notations. Transliteration of Russian-language names is performed according to the BSI standard (https://translit.net/ru/bsi).

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
